In the Foot-steps of the Holy Idol: The Sudou Maasa Timeline

Last week I was thinking of making a time-line for Sudou Maasa as part of the Hello! Online thread's tribute to her.

After my return to following H!P, Sudou Maasa is the one I followed the most, taking the place of Ishimura Maiha who left Berryz Kobo and Hello! Project late in 2005. Like Maiha, she was a 'background' girl for the most part except during MC segments wherein she would shine. Unlike Maiha, Maasa stayed long enough to actually improve and she developed a cool personality to boot.

So without further ado, let us begin our tribute to the idol we call 'The Mother'.

Born on July 3, 1992, Sudou Maasa auditioned with 27,957 other girls for Hello! Project Kids in 2002. It was a different time and place for H!P whose flag-ship Morning Musume dominated the rankings en-route to becoming a legend among Idol groups. It was because of this, many girls applied and the results were announced in the June 30, 2002 episode of Hello! Morning.

Maasa's audition song was Chu! Natsu Party

If you watched the H!P Kids audition video, you'll notice that Maasa had a lisp. Quite ironic when you consider how awesome an MC she has become.
